I've had some pretty tough luck with phones over the last four to five years.
Verizon Wireless sucked with countless dropped calls and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Nextel lied to me in August 2004, told me there wasn't going to be a tower in Carbondale and in September those all-too-familiar chirps were heard in Saluki Country.
I recently re-upped with Nextel in 2006, but the signal in the middle-of-nowhere places I have been such from Springfield, Mo. to Nowhere In Particular, Ind., has been shotty at best. And I've always wanted something with lots of gadgets that can keep me in constant communication.
Something like a Blackberry.
I was ready to end my relationship with Nextel this summer until I saw an advertisement for a Berry with direct connect capability.
Yeah. Sounds like my kinda phone. And since I'm going home for the weekend, maybe I can make something happen with a new phone.
Doubt it though. It might have to wait for Spring Break.
