PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Saint Louis coach Rick Majerus missed Saturday's game at Rhode Island after his girlfriend was injured in a traffic accident.
Assistant coach Porter Moser directed the team in his absence.
Majerus issued a statement that said the injury was serious and added, "I feel compelled to help her at this difficult time."
Majerus expects to return to practice Monday.
Saint Louis is 15-9 and 6-4 in the Atlantic 10 in Majerus' second season. The Billikens and had won four in a row.
